The atmosphere made us want to move here, so we could be regulars, too. Great set up, very friendly, felt like the coffee shop version of Cheers. Our coffee and tea were good, just not amazing.
This cafe is delightful! I wasn't in a mood for coffee so I tried their Hot chocolate which was pretty ok but their Blueberry cream cheesy croissant was really yummy! Very nice ambience full with tourists and localities, family and pets friendly. Also met the owner who is from South Africa with cute British accent, running this cafe 7 years and the reason of the success of this place is his passion. Coffee as it's meant to be, in a cozy, intimate small coffee shop. I have had many of their drinks, from regular coffees to their capuccinos and milkshakes. Each and every cup is made with love and care. You're going to want to sit down and relax for a while when you are here. Treat yourself. You deserve it.
Very small, but cozy and friendly. Chosen because I wasn't in the mood for a big breakfast. Coffee and toasted bagel were perfect, as was the setting.
The hubby and I made this our 1st stop after arriving in Charleston. Now, to start we love mom and pops establishments. I always go for whatever's on tap in a new to me coffee spot. I cannot recall the name but it far surpassed the national brands!! I've had MCDONALD'S, Starbucks, Dunkin too... There's no comparison! Best cup of coffee I've ever had! Hot, a lil smoky, sweet, and smooth! ☕❤☕❤☕
We stopped at City Lights on one of our last mornings visiting Charleston, and I wish we had discovered it sooner so we could have gone every day. I had one of the best iced lattes I've ever had, and my husband (a true coffee snob) really enjoyed his French press. They had gluten free and vegan options, which I also really appreciated. The owner was very friendly and the character of the building is really fun too. You should definitely try this place!
