Horrible Service!! Will never return! – Not sure how this place is still in business! My co-workers and I arrived early before the lunch rush and was seated in an empty dining room. We placed our order and watched as every table in the room filled up and they received their meals. We asked one waitress if she could check on our meal and 10 minutes later had to go hunt down our waitress to find out what happened to our meal. Good Find – We found City Grille by chance and were satisfied with it. The burger with swiss cheese and bacon was good and so was the reuben. The fries were not hot or fresh but edible. There was one server for 20 cramped tables. We really did not have any elbow room. But overall the burgers and sandwiches made it work while.
Limp Fries – One of the worst 'dining' experiences in recent memory. Watress forgot orders, made us wait for yesterday's left-over limp and greasy soggy fries and had the gal to ask us how oursad little hamburgers were. Who rates this place so high? They need to have their credentials checked!
In the past, the burgers have been worth it. Unfortunately, the wait staff does not seem to care much for customer service. The waitress took a confrontational approach to our table, when we inquired after our food, 1 hour after our order was placed. No reasonable explanation was offered the delay and we all left, offended by the lack of respect for the customer... Prime Rib was AWFUL!!! – We went to CityGrille for the first time last Saturday night and ordered their Prime Rib special. The meat was gray and flavorless. It must have been on a steam table for hours because it looked and tasted boiled (we arrived around 6 p.m.). The waiter was rude and ignored us until we demanded his attention. When we asked for sour cream for the baked potatos (it comes only with butter and nothing else), the waiter literally rolled his eyes at us and walked off without saying anything. Da bomb! – Gump...Wow...Gump...Crunch...Gump This is truly the best burger in town as it gets my "Da bonb" rating. They are so good you will want to order one to go.
Over-rated – Why in the world this restaurant keeps receiving the best burger in Denver is beyond me. Their burgers are nothing above that of ordinary. I have yet to receive service that deserves any high regard and if you do insist on visiting, expect to pay no less than $10.00 or more for an average meal.
City Grille burgers – Best hamburger in Denver, hands down! Fries are excellent too.
Easy to Recommend – Reliable meals -- great burger. Nice that dining room is separate from smoky bar. Too bad it doesn't open until 2:00 pm on weekends -- many times we've set out for a late brunch at 1:30, only to remember too late that the place doesn't open until 2. Adjacent restaurants benefit from this circumstance.
