Where do I begin.... City Cafe is a staple in Mcallen . It’s like “Cheers” the sitcom - a place where everybody knows your name....and their always glad you came. There have been some changes in the look and menu which I love!! I’m all about ambiance.... the music, wine selection, daily specials and attention to detail. They get high scores with me. Everyone is so kind and they make you feel at home. Foodies... order everything on the menu

Unlike other restaurants their Greek Salad had plenty of Feta cheese calamari olives and onions. The dressing is amazing with flavor and perfect balance.
For many years, my sons and I have been enjoying City Café and their delicious offerings. The food is fresh and flavors hard to match. My sons, all 3, always order the Santa Fe pasta and they've yet to find something remotely as good as the one served at City Café. Waiting staff might, at times, do better; thankfully, the food makes up for it; as do the hosts- so attentive!
