GOOD BRUNCH DEAL – went here sunday for brunch - $20 pre fixe, unlimited blood marys, bellinis and mimosas!! you have a wide selection of entrees, sandwiches, burgers and wraps. i got the steak and eggs, which was done just right and a decent amount of food for what you're paying. the best part is the unlimited liquor - our serve kept it coming without us having to ask. brunch goes until about 3pm but if your food order is in, you can sit and drink as long as you like. i definitely recommend this over hoboken's brass rail br... read more

Service ok, food ok, management HORRIBLE – Be careful here. The service is okay but the staff is completely overwhelmed b/c the co-owners have this annoying habit of screaming at their employees and firing them for trying to track down food that was ordered ages ago. Maybe if the managers spent a little less time drinking wine while manning the front and a little more time expediting orders and helping the overwhelmed servers deal w/ patrons tired of waiting an hour for their food they wouldn't have to scream at the servers ... read more

Avoid Shady Staff! – In the 2 years since I've lived in Hoboken I've visited City Bistro numerous times. I was always a fan of their rooftop bar especially in the summer. However, now I will definitely never go back and I want to warn everyone who is a patron there to BE CAREFUL! I was there for dinner with a friend a few weeks ago and when I noticed the deduction from my bank account it appeared there was a discrepancy. Avoid if possible – Overpriced, poor service with mediocre food at best. You're better off with a number of other restaurant/bar on Washington instead. The service was poor and the foold took forever to come out and there were many preparation mistakes. Way overpriced for the qualifity. Try to avoid unless it's on someone else's pocket.

Great place – I have been several tims and find the staff very friendly especially FRank behind the bar. SOme times you wait and others you find the right time to be there food is great and the roof top bar outstanding on a summer night.....

Hit or miss - go early for the roof... – The entire experience at the City Bistro can be summed up as hit or miss - black and white. You could have an amazing time on the rooftop sipping on drinks or get blocked from even going upstairs. The crowd could be nice and calm with a mix of men and women or a frat party. And the food - it can either be a delight or overpriced copy from down the street. The most disappointing thing is the lack of knowledge into frequent customers...
