City Bike is a very special shop. They believe that light weight, high quality, bikes with chromoly steel frames are best. It’s actually the only type of bikes they carry. I can’t agree more. If you’ve never ridden a bike of this type, do yourself a favor and give it a shot. You’ll be surprised. We purchased a Brooklyn Bikes Franklin 7, step through frame bike for our mother. What I love about City Bike Tampa is that Kevin, Mario, and Leo meet you where you are and walk you through the process of buying a bike or repairs. I've been to other shops and have left either scratching my head or feeling belittled after being tested on the make and model of every component on my bikes.... l needed a bike box to get a bike on a Greyhound bus. The shop gave me a box and multitool free of charge. I didn't buy a bike there but the products looked quality and they are good people.

We rented bikes for the day before returning to CA. Unfortunately, I crashed and broke my femur (got stuck in trolley tracks next the the Aquarium). The guys were more than terrific. Came and picked up the locked bikes and met my husband at the ER to get the lock key. On top of all that, they didn't charge us for the rental. Outstanding human beings. Thank you so much for their kindness and generosity!
A bike shop for bike people (and everyone else too). They built me up this 700c Surly Bridge Club with Velo Orange Crazy Bars. Such a great commuter, dog hauler and tourer!
