Pigs are family too. They say first impressions are everything! Well for me and my family it was not good! We were referred to go to him the morning our family pot belly pig was attacked by a neighbors dog and her ears were torn off, along with other multiple wounds. Dr. Pitt never opened her crate, he just looked at her and gave us some antibiotics to give her, told us pig were resilient animals and to come back in about 10 days. That evening she smelt like death with one ear gone and another dangling by a few strands of fl... read more

None Better To all the nay sayers I am sorry that you didn't get a warm fuzzy, but I have been using Dr Pitts for over 10 years now and I drive up from Fort Worth, Texas. I wish we had one as good down there, heck I would let him work on me thats how much I trust him. Yes things can go wrong, but he has always been honest and worked with me on anything and everything. Including coming in special hours to meet my schedule, if you need to be coddled then maybe he is not your vet, but I drive 5 hours for his expertise as a surg... read more

Try somewhere else I adopted my pet a year ago from Stillwater Animal Shelter. I got him on the weekend so the Animal Shelter office was closed but the pets were available for adoption through the Humane Society office. They didn't tell me he was spayed (I'm sure they didn't know) so I tried to take him to a groomer because he was very very dirty (I mean flees EVERYWHERE, and ratted hair) but they told me his stitches were still in his body, (which I noticed then also). Granted, this may be more of a fault of the Animal Shel... read more

Cimarron Animal Clinic is Worl Class Cimarron Animal Clinic is World Class. It is by far the greatest clinic in Stillwater! The vets, Dr. Schaefer and Dr. Pitts are compassionate, knowledgeable and reasonable. This clinic offers very competitive pricing, possibly the cheapest in town. And in the event of an emergency, like what I experienced, payment plans can be arranged. My puppy came down with parvo and was very sick. I know that Cimarron Animal Clinic saved Pookie! The vets and office staff were great! I would recommend ... read more

DOG AND CAT KILLERS This so called Dr. Pitts, well to some he may be ok but to me and my animals he has not been good at all. HE has killed a show dog and has no compassion for the dog or me. I was given no reason why my dog was dead from an ear crop but I was charged and no pain meds were given for my dog that lived. Even when a friend went back to get the meds he was charged $12.00 dollars and they told him that they would not let me charge it to my account. I was always able to charge on my account before I had a dead dog... read more

Wonderful care! I wouldn't go anywhere else. I have taken my cats to Drs. Pitts and Schafer for 7 years, and when one of my cats had a difficult diagnosis (two different illnesses), the vets would not give up until they found a treatment. I know they did a lot of research to find some obscure meds for Maxwell, and I am so thankful for their willingness to do so, as he is now a healthy 7 year old. When Maxwell was a kitten, I took him and his sister in for a spay/neuter. I then proceeded to have a kidney stone, and they kept ... read more

Fantastic place that takes great care of your pets! I have been a client there for almost 3 years now and I have never had a bad experience with any of the staff or veterinarians, they are really great! They took amazing care of each animal I brought in and are very reasonably priced as well. Both Dr. Pitts and Dr. Schaefer are very professional and knowledgeable about both small and large animals and I think that what Dr. Pitts does for the community with his mobile spay/neuter unit is wonderful! I highly recommend this the... read more

please go somewhere else I am not satisfied with this veterinary clinic in the least. The staff are friendly, but the professionalism of the clinic as a whole is lacking. My two experiences there have been with pets that I adopted from Stillwater Animal Control; perhaps they didn't get the best care because they were 'shelter dogs'. Initially, I went to pick up my first dog after she was spayed and they returned her to me covered in urine. She is roughly a 60lb shepherd mix- the least they could have done was towel wash/dry ... read more

I think they are great I love Cimarron animal clinic. Dr. Pitts is the only Veterinarian in town to offer low cost spays and neuters in his own personal spay and neuter trailer No other veterinarian in town is willing to do that
