I am not complaining about the customer service that I received. My representative has been pro-active from what I can tell, however, the insurance is terrible. I have medical, dental, and vision through them. When I had an ER hospital visit last year, my co-pay was over $5,000. For my dental qork the closest in-network orthodontist is over 50 miles away and requires a referral from a general dentist. Terrible service. Claims submitted online (that I received confirmation of being received) are then "lost." Claims take months to be processed (or not processed), then a letter is snailmailed stating they can't read the diagnosis on the print-out. When I fix that, I wait a month or more to get a 2nd letter now saying something else is missing from the claim (they could have noticed this the first time they received the claim). Worst insurance
Mediocre insurance with the worst customer support I've ever encountered. I called them to terminate my insurance, and an hour (!) later I was "all set". A month later I started receiving mail and calls at 8 am notifying me my payment is past due. I had to call them three more times to make sure my insurance was _actually_ terminated. Worst insurance. Says doctor is in network but somehow it is not in network AFTER you already had the appointment. Been dealing with them for months and just decided to pay the doctor and not deal with this headache anymore. Also bought the Covid test because they said they will reimburse. Never got the reimbursement. If your employer gives you options to choose your health provider, DO NOT CHOOSE CIGNA! You will thank me later.
