We have lived in Tampa for 36 years. Why is it that we have just discovered this beautiful gem just around the corner from us? Chubby's Super Sub's & Pizza's staff: Edwin, Lander and Kyle - among others - are absolutely wonderful! They have gone out of their way to make us feel like family. On top of the friendly staff, the food is amazing. So far, we've tried the pizza, the Greek salad and the steak bomb. All were astonishingly good. Do yourself a favor and stop by one of South Tampa's true treasures.
Sadly this is not the Chubby's it used to be! Sandwiches were all bread, wound up driving there to get what I wanted delivered. My 30 years of going to Chubby's just ended. ☹️
Need to rename this place to CRAPPIES! My son's chicken parmesan sandwich had 3 small slivers of chicken. My Sausage meatball combo was SO bad the sausage was dry like it was a few days old and the meatballs didn't taste right hence CRAPPIES, I threw it out. Cutting food cost is the first sign of a place going out of business. I WILL NOT eat here anymore. 1 STAR... SAD Oh and the kid taking the order dropping F bombs on the phone was the closing deal.
I have been going to Chubby's since the 1980's The place is clean, the food is good, and the service is friendly. It is a tradition of mine to patronize Chubby's whenever I'm in Tampa. Thanks.
The Philly Cheese Steak was amazing. Cheesy as hell and perfectly grilled onions! My fiance Loved the pizza as well.
Subs were not good, the bread was dry and the subs took a long time.
