Would recommend 505 N Carroll! Great spot for senior year with your friends. Very spacious apartment with a renovated kitchen and unique layout. We had no issues throughout the year, it was easy to put in maintenance requests, and CHT kept us updated and communicated well!

Initially, the staff was incredibly helpful, and although it was a small space to live in, it seemed well taken care of for an old building. However, I had the unfortunate circumstance of being helped by the same older gentleman with each of my issues and he was absolutely horrible. I would not recommend living with CHT at all, PLEASE READ before you rent from them! I have lived at CHT since August of last year, and they are one of the worst landlords I have ever worked with. Firstly, we couldn’t even move into the apartment until two days after our lease started because they had to paint and finish cleaning. When we arrived, the apartment was still fairly dirty, they were still painting, and there was a very strong smell of animals in the carpet from the previous tenants. Their mansion hill apartment is infested with ants and silverfish. Don’t sign this place and tread carefully with their other properties, as it’s ancient and has had no substantial renovation in decades.

My apartment's dryer hasn't worked for months. My roommates and I have called numerous times, and they say they'll "fix it," but they never do. The guy who answers the after-hours calls is rude and has hung up on me on two different occasions. *Update: Multiple people from my apartment building have submitted work orders, it's been nine months since the original review. The dryer still does not work.
