Dr. Lau was one of the most unprofessional doctors I’ve ever encountered. He seemed completely disinterested in treating patients and responded to concerns in a way that felt mocking and dismissive. It’s unacceptable for anyone in healthcare to show such little respect or compassion. I’ve experienced more courtesy and empathy from people outside of medicine - and I work in health care. He was my PCP for a while. As long as everything was okay- there were no problems, but once I needed his help- he completely ignored my messages and was extremely not helpful. I was suffering from a very severe condition, but his only solution was to drink some tea (?!). Without even talking to me, he decided I suffer from depression and offered psychiatric help (?!). Dr Lau is very dismissive, does not listen to patients. I know a lot of doctors and he’s by far the worst doctor with his bedside manners. He’s pretty condescending and all his talk is basic stuff you get on the internet. In addition, there is a huge lack of professionalism and compassion. Doesn’t listen, unprofessional & condescending—>What do you make of that, really? I wouldn’t even want someone like that to fix my plumbing.
Dr. Christopher Lau is a rude, degrading and non-empathetic practitioner. He lacks basic respect for his patients and does not have the ability to provide clear feedback to his patients. I highly discourage going to Northeast Community Clinic (NECC) for treatment of any ailment. The staff is clearly influenced by Dr. Lau's lack of professionalism because they all have the same poor business acumen.
