I was just a chart review to Dr. McPherson. I've been seeing his PaC for almost 2 years, but I have NEVER even spoken to Mc Pherson. My case must not be exciting enough for him to even see me. The PaC is amazing, but he couldn't recommend anything more. My final chart review (newest MRI) McPherson wrote a total of 4 short sentences, and 3 of them were essentially unrelated to the MRI. I have moved away from Mayfield, found a new surgeon who has seen me twice and has listened to every complaint and concern I have had. I am a ... read more
The best!
Sure, it's painful, but that's to be expected. Will be better off because of Dr. McPherson.
Very nice experience
I saw Dr. McPherson for a ruptured disc which was causing severe sciatic pain radiating down my leg to my foot. Dr. McPherson was recommended to me by a dear friend (an experienced surgical nurse) due to his excellent surgical skill, low surgical infection rate, and optimal patient outcomes. I found Dr. McPherson to be personable, caring, thorough, and appropriately conservative in his approach. He's an excellent communicator. This Dr. is very uncaring. His bedside manner is one of a total lack of interest. I had surgery with him and because he messed up, I now have to have another one. During my first surgery he was very standoffish with me and did not even come to see me after my surgery...he just left!! There was no phone call from him, just nothing. When I saw him after my surgery, two weeks later, I was rushed through the visit, even though I had numerous questions on why my symptoms were still so bad, and then I was told I would not see him ... read more
If i could give 0 stars I would. Please, do research and do not seek any care under this neurosurgeon. He is unprofessional and has awful bedside manner. Due to his mistakes I have had to go get another opinion and 2 more surgeries.
I have had surgery by Dr. McPherson in 2010. There have been 2 times I have needed to see him since that surgery. Dr. Mc Pherson has always had good communication skills and explains things to insure understanding. He has always been pleasant and kind. I have had physical therapy at Mayfield Brain and Spine in the past few weeks. The 2 physical therapists who worked with me were excellent. Audra Roden & David Stover. They were so knowledgeable and kind. Thank you!
Do not choose this surgeon. He is rude and unprofessional. He does not do what is in the best interest of the patient. There are much better choices out there. Wants payment upfront for surgeries as well.
