Dr. Sherman's staff displayed remarkable professionalism and attentiveness throughout our visit. However, I found Dr. Sherman himself to be quite dismissive. When we attempted to express our concerns regarding the proposed surgery, we were met with deep sighs and eyerolls, as he seemed preoccupied and already on his way out of the examination room. Dr. Sherman is very respectful and caring, however I can’t say the same for his nurse practitioner. She did not listen to my needs as a patient, and the whole conversation with her felt very dismissive of my feelings. She was also over an hour late to see me for my appointment. Very disappointed, and frustrated with this office.
This Dr is nothing short of an angel. My husband would have lost his leg if not for Dr Sherman's level of commitment, compassion, and above all his competence!!! His bedside manner is not rude or dismissive.. I believe a measure of an excellent Dr is his ability to deliver news that is difficult to hear (which is a large part of ANY trauma surgeon's job) and Dr Sherman is second to NONE!! We love him and are eternally grateful!!!!
FIVE STARS. Dr. Sherman saved my life twice in two weeks. First by accurately diagnosing and then performing a surgery on a rare and potentially deadly joint infection, then by advocating for me by requesting more testing before another surgeon performed what would have been a debilitating and life altering secondary surgery.
