Rotten experience. You get the distinct impression that you're unworthy of his time. He seems to have some general personality issues just an odd man and I could accept that if he was like House, M.D. miserable but a genius. He's no genius and miserable. No follow up, no concern and failure to address concerns. I never leave reviews that are negative but this Dr made me realize anyone can get into the wrong profession. Maybe he wanted to be a veterinarian but didn't make the grades. He seems to dislike human beings. I also r... read more
Dr does not visit with me, for more than 5 to 10 minutes.
Dr. Collins used to be a good physician. Now he is uncaring and does not follow up or send referrals. Orders unnecessary blood work with not medical necessity causing increased bills to patient. Will only address complaint even after waiting 6 weeks to get an appointment. Refuses to refer to specialist and says he can treat the conditions. Cannot get in touch with office or call back from days or more. Treat and street type doctor, not good with maintaining a regular patient health.
I very much like Dr. Collins. He was never one to jump to medications. Looked me in the eye and told me my actions were causing my condition. I crave the truth and he delivered. So disappointed he's no longer with HealthTexas. Don't know where he is, but I'll return to his care when I find him.
I have the distinct impression that his employer, Health Texas, how much or how little time he can spend with patients. I always felt rushed but when he told me to make a another appointment and come back I said no thanks
Been a patient for the past 3yrs great DO, health Texas is a company that practices managed care with no care. Cycled appt discharge without cause and overcharged your day insurance. I would not recommend or go to This provider.. More interested in patient harassment and money
Dr. Collins explains things clearly and doesn't just jump on a medication. He knows a lot about vitamins, herbs and OTC options. Very good about suggesting lifestyle changes as well before going down the road of Rx. I've been seeing him a couple of years and my family will continue to do so as well.
Glad I didn't have to wait on referrals from this primary. I've seen an allergist & 2 dermatologists. Ends up my rash isn't a rash but an autoimmune disorder. I called and asked if he could order tests for lupus and lyme, but received a callback bluntly asking if I have HIV! No other information or questions. He didn't ask for a copy of my latest tests that were ordered by the allergist, nor what either dermatologist were testing my biopsies for. I've found a new primary! Dr. Pola was better.
Dr Collins is a caring and attentive with me. He listens and communicates well. He is interested in me as a patient and spends the necessary time with the appointment.
