Back in 1990 I had good results with Dr Glazner doing an ilioinguinal nerve block. 2021 the pain just barely coming back, & I figured how could I go wrong with Dr Glazner again? I tried to guide him to the right spit, but he refused to listen & HE INJECTED THE WRING SPOT!! He injected my waist, 2" above the scar. Now I have 2 injuries & pain matters to deal with . Dr Glazner was the anesthesiologist (not the surgeon) for a minor procedure to remove a small cyst. I questioned the need for anything more than a local since the cyst was pretty small. Both my doctor and nurse deferred to Dr Glazener and he came to speak with me. When I shared my concern, he said "I will just give you something to make you more comfortable." He ended up KNOCKING ME OUT. Gess he needed the paycheck as he billed me $1200.00. The closure took two stitches. STAY AWAY from this doctor who puts $$ before patients... read more
He does his injections at Sharp Grossmont Hospital so that in and of itself is overkill and a hassle for a pain injection. He doesn't have an office or staff to communicate with you. He is impossible to reach. He does not respond to calls or texts unless you are scheduling an injection. Beware - he is non-par with most insurance plans so even if you have the authorization from Sharp Grossmont Hospital, his bill will be out of network and cost you $$$. He is a third pathway doc and old school in his approach to pain medicine.... read more
Predatory billing practices, violated insurance policies and agreements
Got me in on short notice, good communication, very reassuring.
The procedure was excruciating. Had it in the past and it painful, but tolerable,. This time it was off the charts. Worse, there was zero benefit to my pain condition, so also a waste of a lot of my money. Although it was in the morning, the doctor kept yawning a lot. The other thing, was he said some things to me about my family of origin that were inappropriate, in which he got kind of worked up. Could that have affected the way he inserted the needle into my spine?
Dr Glazener is excellent.
