Terrible experience. The drs have no time or care for your recovery. Still dealing with it, can’t get a call or have any guidance on what to do. The whole process has not only wrecked my faith in UPMC but it has created a psychological problem that I now have to deal with. I’ve been waiting for a call since April still waiting my phone is on

Doctor Christopher Schmidt repaired my severely torn rotator cuff that had been torn for 7 yrs in 2009. This man is the best, and at the top of his game! He pioneered the shoulder replacement, just a few short years prior to my surgery. He warned me that I could possibly wake up after surgery in the hospital instead of the outpatient surgery center that he was going to attempt to repair it in. He and his staff are very professional and efficient! He takes the time to explain your problem and explores possible alternatives. He is simply the best!
