We stayed with Dr Oakley too long. Switched providers and actually getting my son help. Migraines got worse over the years with Dr Oakley. We had a possible scary read on my child’s MRI and Dr Oakley sent me a my chart message not explaining anything he just sent the interpretation of the radiologist. He really shouldn’t be working with children or their parents. No compassion. Best decision we made was finding a new doctor.
I literally tell everyone I know with migraines about Dr. Oakley. He’s genuine, down-to-earth, and communicates directly while still having excellent bedside manner. His explanations are clear and helpful, and he listens so well, even asking clarifying questions so there’s far less chance for misunderstandings. I was a pediatric patient of Dr Oakley's and now get seen in his headache clinic. I have grown disturbed by the NP in his clinic's lack of a plan regarding my treatment, prescription of zofran as a migraine abortive and requested to be seen by an MD in the Hopkins headache clinic that he runs. The clinic is refusing to let me see a real doctor, saying that they're not taking any new patients and if I were to see a different provider, I would have to return as a new patient. My son suffered for over 5 years with a chronic, non-migraine headache. He had seen experts in some of the most well known places with no relief. We found Dr Oakley almost by accident or maybe God’s mercy. Dr Oakley controlled the headaches. He has been headache free for over 6 months. My wife always talks about how much he cares for all his patients. If you need a children’s neurologist, he is the only choice.
Dr. Christopher Oakley was my guardian angel. My daughter suffered from a stroke at birth resulting in seizures at a very young age. I cant thank him enough for everything he did for her. Anytime we had a problem It wasn't hard to reach him. He was a very intelligent and caring man. I highly recommend him.
