Called to look at buying several condos, he said i had to be pre-approved or show proof of funds before he would show me anything. I questioned it and he said "this is how we do it in Missouri" ? Like i haven't done this before. I went with another realtor who didn't waste my time.

Advertises property is standard contract, then announces sale is 'as-is' when offer is made. Why? No idea. Advertises property is good for conventional mortgage when it is not. Buyers, buyers' agents, mortgage originators all have their time wasted. In my case, my agent and mortgage guy put in a ton of after-hours time on my behalf. I spent over a day looking into property, walking the neighborhood at night twice, meeting neighbors, etc., based on false information in the advertisement. We found a property on Zillow and only wanted to view it. We was referred to this company but they required that we were preapproved before we could view it. Then they sent our information to their lender for them to call multiple times. No one ever asked to be connected to a lender we only wanted to view the property. The lender said well don’t call and inquire about properties until you got a pre approval. Rude and waste of time. Selling homes in neighborhoods they would speed to get out of. Do better.
