Very rude and careless DR! Way overloaded with patients. Called in with very concerning symptoms and was treated very rude and told “not to worry” thank goodness I went with my gut feeling and went to the hospital! My baby would not be here had I listened to Dr. Canterbury. If you’re thinking about going here DONT. And if you do go here switch ASAP, this is your baby’s life which Dr. Canterbury does NOT care about. I’ve also heard many many horror stories. STAY away!!!
If you’re using Dr. Canterbury as your OB, please switch OBs immediately. This office is truly terrible - you’ll wait over an hour to be seen each time and you’ll never meet the doctor herself because she just has far too many patients for what she can handle. Her practice missed multiple important tests during my pregnancy (I suspect because they’re overloaded) and I decided to switch doctors after 20 weeks. Great experience with my first labor and delivery! She was attentive and calming, especially when most doctors were incredibly stressed during the pandemic. I was also never pressured with anything and felt very respected. She helped me deliver a healthy baby and my husband and I are very thankful for her.

Dr Canterbury ROCKS! She is an amazing doctor. She was my hysterectomy surgeon and I couldn’t be more pleased.
If I could leave zero stars, I would. Horrible staff. I am 21 weeks pregnant and have never met Dr Canterberry. Appts scheduled 4 weeks in advance are not honored. Calls to the nurse are not responded to. Staff does not take accountability for their actions or lack there of. I will be looking for a new Dr half way thru my pregnancy because of these issues. Some would say to brush it off; but I plan on having another right after this one and refuse to be treated by this staff during another pregnancy.
This is what type of Dr Jaime Pena is. When your laying there sick in a vulnerable state he just walks in no knock with two other strangers with no care about how you feel. Or ask you how you feel just lay back feel this. Oh you have some kind of std because your nasty is the attitude I got. I am a human being and I'm paying you with money I worked very hard for. I little dignity and respect go along way.
I have never been to a better Dr. That includes every dr I have ever been to not just OB-GYN. SHE honestly cares about her patients and will go above and beyond to find best treatments for you. I have other medical issues that complicated some of the routine pregnancy testing. She researched and spoke with many specialists to not only understand my condition but to find alternative treatments. Will never go to any other Dr!
The two visits I had with Dr. Canterbury she was friendly, listened to my concerns, and didn't make me feel rushed. Unfortunately at my 3rd appt. I was informed my insurance was not accepted anymore. According to my insurance company her staff was supposed to inform me. It was an important follow up for a previous condition. I am now left to find another great doctor in a hurry and am constantly in fear until I do. My husband and I are deeply upset by the situation her staff put me in.
