Absolutely fantastic from start to finish. My youngest son had stopped eating/drinking and urgent care sent him home saying he was fine. We ended up needing to go to an ER the next day for a dehydration risk. Since our local ER’s pediatric unit closed recently, we found the nearest pediatric department which was Christiana Care. We were seen very quickly. The doctors and nurses were VERY thorough and I could tell they genuinely cared. I brought my daughter to the Christiana Pediatric ER to be seen this evening. Upon walking in, I couldn’t even get to the window before the nurse at the front desk wide eyed raised her voice asking “are you here to be seen for an emergency?” Having never been asked that in any setting, I Said no? And before I could explain, she barreled on saying “because this is an emergency room”. Her tone was extremely cold and nasty. This was the best ER experience I have ever had!! The entire staff, but especially Dr Mickley, our nurse Sheree, and even our registrar Cynthia were all so helpful and kind. They put my mind at ease after being turned away by urgent care. We were in and out in less than an hour. My son didn’t even want to leave. Thank you for all you do and keep it up! Hopefully we don’t have to ever come back, but if we do, we know we’re in good hands.

Absolute worse experience I’ve ever had. Doesn’t seem like the staff is caring or compassionate. My child has had fevers for days now with a horrible cough. This has been going on since Saturday and it’s Tuesday and I was basically told to “wait” because it might get better. My child is 3 years old autistic and non verbal once I said that it was like they didn’t want to help and brushed off and was told it may be “viral”. I’ve been here 3 times with my young kids and every time has been great. Everyone is always so friendly, and staff very knowledgeable. I always recommend this place to parent friends!
