Honestly, don’t come here to have your baby. I had a c-section (May 14th) and they’re only giving me ORAL pain meds which take about 30 minutes to an hour to even kick in and then when i’m telling them where my pain is they’re gonna tell me it’s somewhere else…like huh? The nurses and doctors seriously don’t listen and they have attitudes and you don’t need that after delivering a baby, trust me. This being the closest hospital really does suck!
went in with my sister and witnessed the lady at the front desk yelling at a poor guy trying to ask about his baby mother. He was being really nice and never yelled and he obviously didnt know about the maternity ward and she just seemed so irritated by him asking questions...
Dr. Antell and resident, Dr. Buckley, were present a week ago at the birth of my second child, and I felt supported by them both, as well as the whole team in the delivery room. Not only did they respect my wishes, but I heard them advocating for them to the surrounding teams and communicating well with each other. It couldn’t have gone better, and the postpartum nurses were competent and kind, and though my night nurse was a little chatty for my liking after giving birth at 10:30 at night, she was still wonderful. It's been a few years but I'm finally ready to submit a story. I delivered all four of my babies here and not one stay was a good one. I won't recommend this hospital for anyone giving birth. I had a very minimal birth plan and they couldn't even stick to that. I was made to feel a burden the entire time and for one they screwed up my blood test and threatened to have my baby taken away by social services. Do not go here to give birth. Gave it this many stars so people would actually see it! DR GRACE V. CLARK at the maternity triage didn’t do anything for me after throwing up blood, not being able to keep anything down for FIVE DAYS, etc and lied to my face just to have me stay extra hours and then let me go home at 3 A.M. AFTER lowering my dosage (still in pain) and having me just sit for hours in the room. She kept touching me as if it was reassuring but she’s a liar.
