He was uncaring, dishonest and dismissive of my diagnosis. His ego entered the room before he did. He has a very big ego that gets in the way of him doing a good job and giving people proper care. He told me an ablation was 50% effective for atrial fibrillation. Two other cardiologists said 80%. I wanted to talk about my options, why he differed from the other doctors and he had a terrible attitude about it. He said he didn’t have all day to talk to me and had other more important things to do. My heart and health is very important. Maybe he had a bad day but other reviews say otherwise. Unfortunately it only takes 1 rotten apple to spoil the bunch ! Dr Machado is a fantastic practitioner with over 25 years in his field. Responding to Jeffrey Skrzyniarz….. you are grossly uneducated with your response. You are inaccurately confusing myocardial infarctions ( heart attacks) with cardiac arrhythmias. They ARE NOT RELATED! Defibrillators can be set at different rates for detection if life threatening arrhythmias and to avoid inappropriate shocks to non life threatening arrhythmias.
