My wife had trouble moving her left leg the ambulance guy said he doubted she was having a stroke which was wrong on his part. Most stroke signs (uneven smile, one arm not raised as high as the other, touching the tip of nose with finger etc) are signs of a stroke in the left side of brain. My wife's stroke was on the right side of the brain causing trouble with moving left leg & walking. Hope these comments will help future stroke victims get to hospital within the 3 hour critical time frame.
I'm not sure who I would need to call or talk to considering theres no number but I had a male ambulance driver come to my mother's house yesterday to help. She couldn't speak, could hardly control her breathing, and was shaking uncontrollably, and he was sweet to her while I was there. But apperantly after I left he started yelling at her to "knock it off" and others things like she could just snap out of it. She might not have been able to talk but she could hear you!
