Chris Ridge is the last place to send your family. Please for the love of God and family don't send them there. My brother was there several times and I thought he was getting the care he needed. I had complained before about not bathing him, shaving him and most important not brushing his teeth. I even put notices on the door of the closet and it did not work. Moved out about a month ago, one year was all I could take. Chris Ridge had a smell in the halls (all inside) like a dirty bathroom, I always wondered about the kitchen. Management was more about fun and games, than anything that mattered, no real staff at the wheel of this ship. Most requests for maintenance were ignored, even when an overflowing toilet on the third floor made it all the way to the first. Addendum to previous review – In fairness to CRV I wanted to amend the poor review I gave CRV a few months ago. The main culprit of the communication issues is no longer employed at CRV, and even though my parents no longer live there I have heard through a couple of the caregivers that they are very impressed with the person who replaced him. So hopefully the situation is better now because other than the problems I had with poor communication from administration, CRV is a nice place.
Administration noncommunicative – My parents have lived in CRV assisted living for almost 2 years and I am currently in the process of finding them a different place to move. The "care coordinator" of the assisted living residents does not answer emails or return phone calls, and totally ignores family members. I have been trying for over 2 months to schedule an appointment for my parents care planning (case conference) which was due 3 months ago, and our emails and phone calls to both the administrator and the care coordina... read more
