I heard good things about him but unfortunately I have mixed feelings about my experience with Dr Maxcey, I had a traumatic hospital time with my birth. I've been through a lot in my life and this was in with top worst. He and his team did a great job delivering my baby and fixing me up but the things I went through leading up to birth and after.. i know things happen but feel they could have been avoided with proper communication/clarification/consideration. Dr Maxcey is wonderful! I’ve never had a doctor make me feel so heard. He’s very reassuring and makes sure every question is answered before I leave my appointment. I would recommend him to anyone
My daughter had a hysterectomy with Dr Maxcey as her gynecologist. He was great before, during and after the procedure. Dr Maxcey made sure that my daughter and I knew exactly what was going to happen during the surgery, how long it was going to take, and what to expect after. He came to the family waiting room after and made sure that I knew what went on and what was going to happen going forward. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Maxcey. He LISTENS!!! He is so personable, so very nice, incredibly knowledgeable. He offered absolutely no push back, whatsoever, when I (a 40 year old woman who has never had kids) wanted to be sterilized. He didn’t push me in one direction or another. He gave me all the facts, answered my questions, and we came to a decision together. He was recommended to my by a friend and I am so thankful I was able to get an appointment with him!!
I had a major robotic laparoscopic surgery with Dr. Maxey and it went very well. My concerns were listened to and that allowed for optimal results. The women's wing of the hospital is very nice and they treat you well along with good food and comfortable setting.
