I love seafood and have tried many places, but today I tried the Chowder Bowl!!! Best damn clam chowder I have had ever!!! Also my favorite tartar sauce and my favorite cocktail sauce! The fried oysters were amazing as well! Nice 3rd generation family owned personal touch! It takes a lot to impress this foodie! Go eat at the Chowder Bowl! Thank you all for a great meal today!
Great food!
Food of course was fantastic. The dining car meals were a good deal with a great amount of food. Even better though, was the service. Our waitress was busing and serving the entire restaurant by herself and was keeping up with everything in a timely fashion with a smile. She even worked the cash register while an unoccupied employee watched the TV right next to it.
Not so good, garlic bread tastes like it was cooked with old grease, crackers for the chowder were very stale, they small amount of fries for $5.50 tasted good but really not at all your moneys worth. Sloppy service over all really. People came at the same time we did were forgotten about. With only 5 tables full that shouldnt have happened.
Awesome Chowder!!
The service was terrible. It wasn't busy at all.... And it took our waitress 20 min to come to the table. Then...we had to ask for silverware.. Ketchup... (and eventually just got our own). After we'd ordered and the food came out... Our server couldn't find a fork in the entire kitchen.?!? Um... Wash one. Food was just food. Nothing special. Don't waste your time and money.
Grandson loves loves loves trains. So it is a no brainer. We have to stop here. Great place. Friendly.
Great chowder! Awesome service!! Will definitely be back!
