Fingernail in the food the title says it all. Before tonight, i loved the place. After my girlfriend and I found a fingernail in the Deluxe Nabayaki, I wont ever return. Along with serving up the appetite ruining fingernail, they didnt even bother to offer to cancel the entire check, a customary gesture that I would expect but was too sick and disgusted to ask for tonight. Chopstix This place has the best Nabeyaki udon ever. Also their donburi is good as well as the chicken katsu. They have decent prices and it's really yummy. They also have specials sometimes on their crunchy rolls that are so good. Don't get the yakisoba though.
Try everything I love this litttle place. I have been going for at least 10 years. I now live about 90 miles away but if I'm in the San Diego area, that's where I get lunch. Great flavors and a good menu selection for a tiny place.
Chopstix is a RACIST restaurant DO NOT go eat at this restaurant if you're black. I was treated with racist "rolling of the eyes" by a older Japanese lady when I placed my name on the waiting list to be seated. She skipped my party of 4 and called another party of 4 who arrived after us and signed in after us. She did everything possible make me to non-verbally communicate to me that I was NOT welcome at her restaurant. Please DO NOT eat at this restaurant.
i love chopstix! Forget the burger, this is much, much better...and for about the same price! Fast, friendly, easy to get to...you can't beat this place! Plus, you get a fortune cookie!
I LOVE CHOPSTIX I have been going to Chopstick since 1990. The restaurant industry is not easy and for it to be around this long, is a testament to it being good. My favs are Udon and the Katsu-Curry. Consistently good food at great prices and adequate service.
Ramen and Soba An excellent Japanese Noodle restaurant. We ordered Miso Ramen and Soba. Both were great. Portions are large and inexpensive. Very tasty. Highly recommended. Arrive early for lunch to avoid lines.
One of our staples We have been going here for more then 10 years. It is a casual japanese noodle place that is moderately priced and provides lots of good food. I especially like their Hiyashi Soba noodles.
Severe food poisoning I went there one night with a group of friends. I use to go there for lunch a lot, so I thought why not let them in on this place...I thought they were great. Flash forward...super sick...I mean super, I actually dragged myself to the doctor; got antibiotics, even thought I might have gotten worms or something...it was serious. Took months to get over.
