my Favorite – I heard about Chon Som from three different people about 2 months ago...so my Husband took me and the girls out for a Sunday Brunch. I Loved it. The sushi was Amazing... and my young girls enjoyed Egg Rolls and Soup! My husband and I went back on an evening date more recently, and had another great experience. We had a wonderul date, and the Delicious food and polite Waiter at Chon Som made it one to remember.

Good, but not GREAT! – I am looking for excellent Thai cuisine in Austin and I still have not found it. I drove from South Austin in search of what the reviews say is the best Thai in Austin. I was one of two tables seated on a Saturday night at 7:30pm, not very comforting. I first tried a couple of sushi rolls. They were good and fresh, but not outstanding. Terrific neighborhood sushi! – I was looking for a decent sushi joint around my neighborhood and boy did I luck into Chon Som. Great sushi and rolls. Very friendly atmosphere and lovely staff. Have gone back four times in the last three weeks :) Have a great happy hour too!

What we needed in Wells Branch – The cuisine (notice I did not say food) was exquisite. My only issue with out visit was the service. I was having a bad day, so I certainly will not hold it against them. With only three tables present when we arrived, our greet time was a little long. Our appetizer arrived with our entree which annoyed me and the high-ball glasses jammed packed full of ice did not leave much room for iced tea. Fabulous Thai Food and Sushi – Thanks to Chom Son, I am now addicted to Thai food. Delcious. Try the dynamite shrimp! They are fantastic. I had the red curry with chicken, loved it! I can't wait to go back and try something else.

My search for excellent Thai is FINALLY over – I am so happy that I have finally found a place in Austin with amazing Thai food that is consistent, delicious, MSG free and VERY reasonably priced. Having lived in Thailand, I can be a tad picky about my Thai food, but the chef always impresses me with how talented she is. There is always parking, which was a problem with some of the places downtown. The wait staff is friendly and helpful, but not overly solicitous. The Best of Both Worlds! – Very friendly, warm and accommodating. Most importantly - the food is absolutely amazing. Melt in your mouth sashimi and very tasty rolls too. I also had the Pad Thai and Tom Yum soup and was completely blown away. My daughter who is a very finicky eater had the Miso soup and fried rice, lets just say she finished every thing on her plate which is pretty unusual. Have been there on many occasions and can't wait to go back. What a find!

Great Sushi! Well priced to boot.. – For sushi buffs, you just can't get any better. This is not to take from the exceptional Thai food, but nobody does it better than their master sushi chef! Highly recommended!
