The cuisine served at Chola New York is eclectic, and comes from provinces all over India. With white walls, dark wood and fresh table linens, you can feast like an Indian prince. Try shrimp bhuna, chicken tikka, Bombay calamari or grilled tandoori dishes. Also popular is the naan (flat bread) and Uthappam (a vegetable pancake composed of rice and lentils). Many entrees are spicy, eye-opening and unusual. Half the menu is made up of vegetarian and vegan offerings, while the other half features a great deal of tasty seafood, ... read more

Not so sweet – Food was delicious,we weren't lucky with the dessert. The one we wanted wasn't available, the one we ate wasn't good. It was very much like reheated can food, available in most railway stations in India. Service was very attentive and efficient. Overall experience was worth-while. We recommend it to all those who wish nice food , nice service-dessert
Good selection, Quality sacrificed – I researched Chola online and was impressed by the Zagat award for best buffet. I went with a friend and our initial impression upon walking in for the buffet at 2:15pm (a bit late as they close at 3:00pm) was that the selection was extraordinary. I was very excited to try everything. I gave everything a whirl and while the selection was great, I thought the quality could have been a little better. My friend enjoyed the chili chicken immensely. I thought the tandoori chicken was delicious... read more
best Indian food so far, lovely hostess and superb service – I love Indian food and love to try out Indian restaurants whereever I go but so far chola has been my best experience, their cuisine is unique and very very tasty, their friendly hostess makes u at home instantly, the service is superb and I especially love their little appettizers that are served during lunch...for everyone thats seated. It is trully an eclectic experience.
Best north meets sounth indian cuisine – being an authentic indian, I LOVE Chola! Service is excellent and the food is amazing..not too spicy yet flavorful, not too heavy on oils and the various South Indian mixes whether it be from Kerala or Madras is amazing!
Good ambience, average food – Chola isn't bad, but it isnt great either. Do not expect excellent Indian food, atleast for dinner. They have a diverse menu as far as Indian restaurants go, but that doesn qualify it as a place with good food. I've heard the lunch buffet is better, but as far as dinner is concerned, it was below average. Go with the safe choice and have the Punjabi food...the South Indian was not worth it at all. Good service, nice ambience.
Great food but poor service – Excellent variety and quality of food. More creative menus than most other Indian restaurants. Wish their service was better.
Great food, Friendly Service - Definitely go again! – I went with a friend to Chola for dinner after a day of shopping. I love Indian Food and we stumbled upon Chola and liked the atmosphere so decided to give it a try. The people were extremely friendly and the service was top notch. The naan was one of the best i've ever had. We tried the chicken curry which was absolutely decilicous and some vegetable dishes. The food was flavoral and very fresh. I will definitely go to Chola again when I'm in the area. Any Indian food lo... read more
Good service & food – Not a bad place, I enjoyed with two of my other friends visiting from bombay. Food was good and also thiere drinks were pretty good.
North Indian food aint authentic, annoying service – I am a north indian, This place has okay for south indian food (dosa, idli etc.) , but for authentic north indian breads, chicken tikka masala, rogan josh etc.......its NOT, because the dishes arent even close to the rea; north indian spices? & tasted very wierd ! The service was super annoying, wasted effort, time and money.
