Tasteful decor , quality atmosphere I enjoy the thought that went into designing the Chocolate bar. The Creme Brulee was excellent and the fondue for two is wonderful. Great wine selection and professional service.
Average Recently visited for lunch, the place is unkept and very dirty. Cramped dining areas and the wait staff is ungroomed and not friendly. The food was good, dessert was average. Creme brulee tableside should be fun, but our server did not ask how dark to burn the sugar and mine was not dark at all. The best part is cracking the sugar!
Best place ever! AMAZING PLACE! Great idea. Excellent food. I saw Chad Michael Murray at this bar! Impressed!!! I had the best piece of dessert on earth! Drinks are not expensive, and most of them include chocolate. I had a chocolate martini mmmmmmmmmm Want to go visit again and go there!
A little pricey, but overall wonderful I've been here twice now. The first time, I ordered a "flight" of three liqueurs (tough night). They were very tasty, but I would say my one complaint was that I thought they would be larger - like, shot glass size - but they were really just thimbles full. This place is not all that it seems. The name sounds great and the pictures are intriguing but nope! I guess you don't know unless you try it and we tried it and weren't happy. So much went on its hard to even explain but when we talked to the "new" manager he explained that the pictures we saw online are old and outdated and he wishes the food was as good as 3 years ago! Customer service was great as well as the drinks, but the food was not good. The sandwiches we ordered were wrong and my dessert had a big piece of card board in it. There were people walking around not wearing masks either. Other than the drinks, I would not recommend. I tried contacting them about it and received no response.
I truly think everyone should know what type of person / business they are supporting when they visit The Chocolate Bar on Chippewa. The owner has numerous NYSDOL claims against him from not paying owed wages, but it that was not bad enough, when he closed due to the pandemic, at least a handful of people were promised they would be brought back (the ones who were giving their lives and 200% to keep the restaurant surviving, and who were getting screwed in the process but stayed for the love of the restaurant itself and the ... read more
did not leave me feeling too safe being here during covid. they aren't practicing social distancing. a big table was seated 3 feet away from our big table. then food Is nowhere near pictured. my friends hamburger was rubbery and his sweet potato fries burned. service was awful. our waitress had no clue about the Halloween specials. would NOT go back.
Recommended5 star customer service. The best spinach artichoke dip I've ever had and the icecream!!! oh lawd. All around delicious
