Awesome sushi in Fremont! – I often get sushi cravings, and when I do, nothing curbs it like Chiso. All their fish is super fresh and delicious, not soaked in mayo like some places' rolls. It's so relaxing in there, I love the chill atmosphere. If you're looking for great sushi in a friendly spot that's not too expensive, Chiso is your place!

Good Sushi and a chef willing and able to answer qestions – We really enjoyed the sushi here. The atmosphere is clean, modern and open. This is not a restaurant for private conversations, rather for sharing a food experience. We sat at the sushi bar and were well taken care of by both the waitress and the chef. We asked questions of the chef as we ate and he was very knowledgeable. All the food was gorgeous and served on beautiful handmade pottery. (Which I looked up on Chiso's website and is made by Akiko Graham) All the fo... read more

Stay away! – If this were the 1st restaurant I ever tried sushi at, I would never try it again! It was horrrrrrrrrible. We sat at the sushi bar, and while trying to get through a soggy albacore tataki salad (the fish was soggy-yuck), my friend and I watched the "itamai-san" use three different, dirty rags to wipe off the cutting board and pat dry their soggy fish before placing it atop the rice. I sit at the bar, in front of the fish case, so I can see the fish. At Chiso, I saw the fish and more than an eyeful of other thing... read more

Good Food, very nice space – The sushi is good here, and if your at the bar, they chefs are fun and chatty. It's a bit pricey and pretty similar to most of the other upscale sucshi joints in town. The best part of this place is the location and the intimate feel of the space.

Pricey, but good – I've been heading to Chiso's off and on in the 5 or 6 years since it opened, sharing some of the staff from I Love Sushi. In time, Chiso has developed into a mature, refined sushi presence in Seattle, and (IMHO) it's a fine place for elegant, albeit somewhat non-intimate dining. I've enjoyed bringing dates there for a lighthearted evening, although the tables are a bit close together for true intimacy. (I've found this problem at smaller places like Shiro's, for instance, where you can't help but overhear ... read more

Delicious! – We visited Chiso for the first time a few weeks ago just as a change of pace from our regular sushi restaurants. We weren't disappointed! We took at seat at the bar and the sushi chef immediately greeted us with a smile and welcomed us. The sushi and sashimi were all delicious, and the prices weren't bad for a sushi restaurant. Would definitely recommend!

Great Environment – Although the entrance wasn't overtly obvious, when you walk into Chiso the environment grabs you. The service was good and the menu was decent. The variety of sushi available was good and the freshness of their seafood is recommended. Typically I like to sit at the sushi bar, but it was full the entire time I was there. The wait staff was very prompt when asking for chef recommendations and was very helpful when asking about the history of the restaurant. Overall I thought the menu was overpriced for what... read more

Wonderful – Chiso is my favorite place for sushi. Taichi is incredibly talented and the fish is extremely fresh. There are alot of vegetarian options as well. The restaurant itself is inimate and I enjoy both the sushi bar and the table seating. The lychee martinis and green tea ice cream are also delicious! Fabulous, attentive service and delicious food keep me coming back.

Excellent Sushi, Excellent Atmosphere, Excellent Service – My boyfriend and I experienced the wonderful atmosphere and deliciously fresh food at Chiso just last night. We were looking for a place to share a special dinner before going out of town for a month, and we agreed this restaurant was exactly what we were looking for. I'm a little picky when it comes to certain kinds of sushi but I ordered the chef's choice and loved everything that came with the order.
