I want to thank the owner of Chip's Auto Repair for sending one of his mechanics across the street to my pickup truck a little after noon today. I had gone to get a few groceries during my lunch hour and found that the right rear tire of my truck was flat. The mechanic came across the street and worked for an hour changing my tire (the spare took 30 minutes to remove from its storage space). Well I took my car to Chips for a diagnostic and was told that they needed to replaced the boot near the mass air flow sencer and had checked there code reader which obviously doesn't work or the mechanic there can't work it, they charged me over 400.00 to clean the mass air flow sencer and replacing the boot..maybe one hour of work and we still had the same problem. I do not recommend chips. So many times I've gone and they sent me away saying that they couldn't fix the problem. As well as "fix" a problem only for it to return immediately. I guess they are playing the guessing game over there. Smh
Great Work!!! I have a 2007 Mercedes E350 and was informed by the Mercedes dealer that the car needed a balance shaft kit in which I was quoted $6200...and after some research and talks with Chip in detail I decided to go with a used low mileage engine, that he researched and purchased from a local vendor and was delivered to his shop. I took my truck in a week ago and he fixed what he thinks the problem is but told me to drive my truck for a week before I paid him to make sure it unfact is what he thought it was an that it's not electrical! My trucks been starting fine. Be in to pay you today Chip!
