Wow ! Everytime! – So everyone has different levels of expectations. I will be the first to say that when i go out to eat, i want to be wowed. Weather i am at Urth cafe, Chaya, or Chinois on Main, I want my food to be awesome! wonderful experience – While not t he cheapest place to dine the food was excellent as was the service. The staff was more than helpful and very attentive. The food was to die for and every bit of what was expected. the scsallops were wonderful and the steak was perfect.
The perfect restaurant – This is the perfect restaurant. They have the best steaks, best bread, best fries, best of everything. Superior service, friendly waiter, extremely attentive bus boy. Five stars all around, will return for sure.
Awful! – Being a Wolfgang Puck owned restaurant you would think the food would be high quality. Not at Chinois! I have been to many restaurants owned by WGP and all have exceeded my expectations! Wolfgang Puck expertly fuses global cuisines amid life-size ostrich sculptures. – The Scene A shockingly no-holds-barred assault of the garish. Liberace showed more restraint in choosing costumes than did interior designer Barbara Lazaroff (Puck's wife) when decorating the Chinois dining room. Nothing special – We had a party of 5 including a student currently attending a culinary school. She heard that it was overrated, but decided to come along to try it out. We were all disappointed. I ordered a squab (pigeon) dish with a pumpkin spiced flan and some type of beans and greens. The others ordered the sea bass, NY steak, ahi tuna, and something else that is forgettable. Rather OUTBACK – Well i had to make reservations for a month out and still had a bad table near the kitchen door. I don't understand when i emphasized to the hostess on the line that i wanted a good table for 4 id end up sitting in that place. Well all was well no problem. Until the ordering came. CUT ROCKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!! – What a wonderful dining experience - my friends and I went several months ago during the week and had a fabulous table as well.
