I have used Chimney Sweeps of America, Inc for over 9 years to clean out my extra long dryer vent and to maintain my fireplace. They are very efficient, thorough and very neat. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. I asked for them for an estimate to fix my chimney after a home inspection report. Instead they sent a bill for $135. At no point- either verbally, in writing, or during the visit itself was I told there would be a charge to get an estimate. It was only after the visit that I received a bill, and no estimate on top of that. This is the definition of bad corporate behavior.

This company lied to us to up-sell us to an entirely new unit. The tech was great - spoke to my husband about the broken gas valve that needed replacing and said the office would get back to us about how expensive that would be. We never heard back. When I finally contacted them again about cost, I was told that our fireplace was out of production and we would need an entirely new fireplace and they'd be "happy" to do that. The technician was on time and very friendly. He was very knowledgable and professional. I will definitely recommend Chimney Sweeps of America and will likely hire them again for a fireplace install I am considering.

Got a chimney inspection from them, not realizing that they did installs as well. Got an estimate after the inspection for a gas insert and decided to go for it. We ran into some challenges with the chimney size (old house), but they were able to come up with an acceptable side-vent solution that I initially had some concern about, but it turned out great and I'm very happy with the fireplace look and function. Overall, Chimney Sweeps of America (and Mark specifically) did an excellent job. They were professional and clean. They had great suggestions for how to get an insert to fit well inside the existing fireplace without changing what was there. And the insert is beautiful. Mark sat down and told me everything I need to know about how to light good fires in it. He also answered all the questions I had. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for fireplace installation or maintenance!

As a new home owner with many projects to complete, Chimney Sweeps of America has been the only 100% positive experience. Jon and Mark keep their word, they communicate with you. All the things a contractor should do, but most do not. I wish I could hire them for all my projects.

The technician showed up on time, was very professional, and left the living room spotless even though the stove and chimney were extremely dirty. He also informed me that all their technicians are trained and certified.

Outstanding Business! Their work in my home is beautiful. An existing unvented unit was removed as was the frame around it. They built a new frame with all venting that is required, managed to save the marble that was previously installed. They removed all old materials and did a complete cleanup. Their communications and skills provided us the best customer service and job completion we've had in years. I recommend them to anyone needing fireplace installation or repair. Feel very fortunate that we found them.
