This is a big difference in the nurse care at this location. I came in at 12:00 for my son's medical treatment. It's now 5:00 and I am steal waiting to be dismissed.. I was on the third floor.After being in room for recovery I opened his room and asked someone at the desk. I asked the lady when were they going to dismiss him. The lady replied" When Jennifer get through". I closed the door. Eventually 45 minutes later we were released. However Surgery department was wonderful with the care of my son.

Be aware of outpatient facility charges at Children's Mercy specialty clinics. I scheduled what I believed would be a routine dermatology appointment and was asked to pay my specialist copay at check-in. At no point was I informed that the visit would also be billed as an outpatient hospital service with a $953 facility charge. My insurance applied this charge to my deductible, leaving me responsible for an unexpected bill of approximately $570. My son had an upper endoscopy today when he came in they did blood work results didn't come until 30 mins after my husband and my son's left. The hospital called to tell me that my son's glucose level was critically low he shouldn't have gone back for his procedure with it that low you could have killed my child shame on you do better before it happens to another child
