Can't ever say We loved being in the hospital but it was where we needed to be. My husband was in earlier for CHF for 3 days, came home and within 3 days had to return. This time there were no unturned stones. He spent a week in a private room, due to being on chemotherapy with me staying with him the whole time. He is doing much better on this discharge and plan on following new rules to his diagnosis to the tea. The staff, including Dr's and nurses could not have treated us any better the full week. I love TGH. I have spent 40 years of my life there. I grew up there (some would say that's not true, I'm not grown up!). I loved it as a nieve 20 year old going to work there as an LPN, and loved it as a "Seasoned" RN when I retired decades later. It's a wonderful place to work. The teaching atmosphere is obvious, the benefits have succeeded other hospitals, and the advancements in our healthcare system are felt at TGH. Gave 3 stars with reservations. As I was sitting in the courtyard I noticed a sign that read "no smoking" then as I left the courtyard I pass a McDonald's on the same hospital grounds what's with the double standards?
I like the Physical Therapy Hospital and I especially love the greaters & insurance takers! But the time. Getting in to see my doctor is quite ridiculous. I showed up 30 minutes early before my appointment to try and get paperwork finished before hand, to save some time; but I ended up waiting until 45 minutes after my appointment to see my Doctor Who told me she gives her patients 20 minutes for a visit time. We ended up leaving almost 2 hours after we had arrived. It was to have free parking and valet service.
My wife always has excellent care with a well educated staff. We are at a point were we are concerned about giving her the best quality of life and they are doing that very professionally with a good outcome. THANK You
Tampa General Hospital is the best Hospital in Tampa. My experience their was an excellent one the Medical staff retreated me with respect. They respected my privacy. The listen to my concerns and questions. I received the best care at Tampa General Hospital
