My mom had partial knee replacement surgery Monday October 14, 2013. All the staff - from admitting to discharge went above and beyond in caring for her and all her extended family. Extremely service and patient oriented, TGH gets excellent ratings from this patient and family! Living in Temple Terrace I wouldn't hesitate to make the extended drive to receive my own health care from this facilityshould the need arise.

What I like about it , well at first hated it. I use to be a smoker of over 30 yrs. In oct. of 2011 I had major surgery ( went well) I was mad going in. Was worried how I was going to smoke in a no smoking place. Well the longer I was in there, 13 days. The less I thought of cigarettes. Soooooo when I got out I decided not to light a cigarette. I was in the hospital for 12 days. From a kidney infection. And after a few days, they put me on the oncology floor,kept making me move to another bed in another room, stopped my pain meds after they said they were discharging me even though I didnt get discharged. Every day they kept saying I was getting discharged. I know their suppose to stop pain meds if your gettign discharged but actually stop them when im finally getting discharged. I like this hospital. I had my Heart Transplant here... The BEST Hospital Ever!!
I am in shock of these posts stating all of this negative stuff concerning Tampa General Hospital. Like wanting all this money before services are rendered, that they don't care about their patients. I'm a double lung transplant.. I was on medicaid when they took me seven years ago, I never asked me for a single penny.
