For 100 years, the mission of Children's HealthSM has been to make life better for children. Our beginnings in 1913 were humble, but our vision even then was big. Today, our team takes great pride in being the eighth-largest pediatric health care provider in the country, and the only academically affiliated pediatric hospital in the area. Children's Medical Center Dallas is home to the only academic healthcare system in North Texas that is dedicated exclusively to the comprehensive care of children from birth to age 18.

My teenage son was transported to the ER with a broken leg. While the ER was chaotic, I think that's to be expected. Every doctor, nurse, and aide that we encountered was super friendly. The ortho surgeon that spoke to us in ER left us with a clear understanding of what was to come and left us feeling very optimistic. He was admitted and stayed in C4 for 2 nights. Great hospital. My son swallowed button battery. He was admitted and cared for wonderfully and quickly
Enjoyed the GI department but our appt. was at 12:45 went back at to a room at 12:30 but was not seen till around or close to 2:00 pm. other than that love the doctors and the department. Look like a very busy day. Since we had a 3 hours drive home it made it for a long day with outgoing traffic in Dallas.
