They SAVED my GRANDSON's LIFE!!! I can't even begin to say enough good things about this hospital. My grand son was a premie... born 1 lb 11 ozs and he had a ton of medical problems during the first months of his life. Those caring doctors and nurses at that hospital saved his life so many times I can't even count how many times. It is a wonderful hospital and they are doing GREAT THINGS there in research and everything else to advance the treatment of children. The best children's hospital on the planet in my book... A great place for your kids This is a world-renowned Children?s Hospital and a great asset to Pittsburgh. Every time I?ve been here, care was excellent and the staff did everything to put my mind at ease. They go out of their way to care for your kids and it shows. The facilities and the number of doctors practicing here are exemplary. The city really stands behind the hospital with charities and fund drives. Many people come from out of town for care.

5-Stars All the Way! I cannot begin to say enough about Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh! The staff is very talented and caring. This hospital has more programs than any I know of for those in need, even financially. They have what's called the "Free Care Fund" that is run on donations. It pays for treatment when parents run out of money an can no longer affort treatments. They also have "Pennies for Patients." Hotels in the area are paid for so that parents can be there with their children, whether they can afford it or no... read more

MY SONS STAY AFTER HIS SURGERY MY SON HAD OPEN HEART SURGERY TO FIX HIS VSD AT CHILDRENS HOSPITAL. THE DOCTORS ARE WONDERFUL THERE. AND THE NURSES ARE KIND, AT LEAST MOST OF THEM. I HAD TWO PROBLEMS THE WHOLE TIME THAT I WAS THERE AND IT WAS WITH THE TWO OF THE CICU NURSES. BUT HIS INITIAL STAY WAS GREAT. IN FACT THE NURSES DID NOT WANT ME TO TAKE MY SON HOME. ALL THE NURSES IN THE 7 NORTH ARE KIND AND UNDERSTANDING WITH YOUR SITUATION AND TRY TO MAKE YOU AS COMFORTABLE AS POSSIBLE WHILE YOU ARE STAYING THERE. I WOULD DEFINI... read more

EXCELLENT HOSPITAL We have been to Childrens Hospital several times with our daughter and the care and committment of the nurses is top quality. We were explained in detail everything we needed to know about her problem. The wait time in the ER was reasonable. The nurses were extremely friendly and put our daughter at ease. We are lucky to have this hospital in Pittsburgh!
