After a scary Sunday evening with our one-year-old getting a pretty bad head laceration, we were transferred to CHOG from a stand-alone ER for further treatment. It was definitely a long and stressful night, but we are so thankful for everyone who took care of our little guy! Don't waste your time taking your child to this emergency department. We were sent by our pediatrician. The pediatrician called, talked to the doctor, and expressed his concerns about what was going on, but they completely dismissed everything that was said. They did NOTHING for my son but take his vitals and put him in a room for 6 hours. We left, went back to the pediatrician, and were immediately sent back to the ED. the staffs are amazing !! 10/10 recommend !
Dr. Hendrix is one of the best doctors my children have ever seen. She explained everything in great detail to us as to what was going on. My daughter is terrified of Doctors but Dr. Hendrix walked in, sat on the floor and immediately started to color with her and comfort her. I love having a doctor who actually loves their job!! 10/10 for Doctor Hendrix!!
