RecommendedMy 2 year old ended up getting admitted from the emergency department, we thought he had a flu bug, but he ended up needing an emergency procedure to put in an EVD, and brain surgery for a Chiari Malformation. Dr Puccioni and all the doctors and nurses took such incredible care of him, and I'm so thankful that we were here! We received visits from plenty of specialist, volunteers, Santa, and many others! They were so amazing to my son and I..my son has special needs and they treated him with the up most respect..
We get exceptional care at Children's every time we have gone. The nurses and the doctors CARE. Whether we are in in ER or on the 6th floor we always feel like family. Our daughter who is only three has no fear of the hospital even though she gets poked and prodded and IVs. She loves her "doctor nurses". They talk directly to her. They make sure us as parents understand what's going on and are emotionally ok. The nurses always remember us, our family, her siblings and even where we live! It was amazing the nursing staff where so kind and mad me feel like that my son was in very safe hands . I'm glad we had a great experience because we will be going back very soon so a longer stay .

For us we have waited for so long for someone to listen to us and see what we see. Someone to tell us hey that just isn't right. Someone to give a name to what we call just being Jordan. Now comes the trying to find the why. I can't think of anyone I would want on our side but Children's Hospital! Thank you Dr Mark Jones of Plum Creek Medical Group for sending us when none other would. It's not just Jordan it's hypotonia... Now comes the why and what next.
