I had a really upsetting experience at this children’s hospital when I took my newborn daughter for her two-week screening. The African technician, Belle, made a racist comment toward us as an Asian family. Right after calling my daughter’s name, she said, “Ching Chang Chong” in a mocking way. She tried to cover her mouth like it was a slip, but my wife and I were just shocked. This kind of thing is so wrong, especially in a kids’ hospital! Nurse was SUPER sweet and explained everything to my 3 year old (first time getting blood drawn).
The front desk staff were nice and quick to process our information. We had a great experience with my baby for the blood draw. We had been to two other labs that were unsuccessful at drawing blood for my little one. McKinley was very kind and confident in her abilities. She was able to get my baby in one stick which I’m very thankful for! We will be returning for future blood draws if need be.
Rudest lady at check in - Brittany. No empathy and purposely delays checking in new born children. Such a bad experience with her.
