If I could give this place 0 stars I would. My child was sent here for an eating disorder. We should have visited this facility before I agreed for her to go there. I was desperate for her to get help and trusted this place because the actual Children’s Hospital and nurses at Dallas Children’s are wonderful!! We got there and it’s literally like a prison. Plano Children’s Hospital Eating Disorder program saved my son’s life. At 12 years old he developed severe anorexia. We went to the best children’s hospital twice in our state for two 10 day stints over a month’s span. His heart rate was in the 40s and he had lost 1/3 of his body weight – he was VERY sick. They all js focus on numbers here and girls with Ed’s are so rude shouldve js kept them isolated from each like the other inpatient units
My child was referred here by the GE department of children’s, Some how did not like the methodology used here like tube feeding and other feeding techniques, closed environment with main focus on just weight numbers and gain, opted out saw another children’s hospital GE doctor as per advise from my PCP.
