I've been a patient with Children's Advantage since 2016 and have had no issues with staff or anything of that sort. I've had several therapists throughout the years, all of which were fun, made me feel comfortable, but most of all, helped me with my mental health. I've had a few therapist leave the practice, but that was only to further their career as a mental health professional. This place is a revolving door of employees!! My daughter went through four counselors here within 3 years because they all quit. What does THAT say?? We switched to Child Guidance and Family Solutions in Cuyahoga Falls and have been fairly happy with them. Don't get me wrong, they've had some amazing counselors here over the years, but they must not treat them very well because they all quit. Do not send your child here! They put my son on medication for "behavioral issues" and since seeing them he thinks he needs a PILL to function, to focus, to calm down, to sleep. I'll be filing with the state medical board as well. No child should have this thinking!
We have been coming to Children's Advantage since 2010 maybe 2011. I have always felt respected and heard. My son has never been told he has to be seen alone. If he wants someone in the room they can be there. Dr Winnie, our current psychiatrist, talks to both of our children sometimes because she sees the value of the whole family in the care and treatment of her patients. LISTEN TO THE REVIEWERS! GO ELSEWHERE. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR CHILD(REN) This place has been going downhill for the past several years, but I finally had enough. They can't keep counselors on site and the majority of the ones they hire have no business working with children. The final straw was their newest edition, Ms. Kathy Caputo.
