No matter what, if they ask if your child has been sick, LIE LIE LIE. They will punish you for it. I learned the hard way. We had to wait over 3 months to get our first appointment, which sucked, as it was for something rather urgent (my teen daughter passes out when she stands up, and gets injured as she hits the ground... likely POTS). When we arrived, she'd had a fever the day before, so I answered honestly when they asked if she'd had a fever in the last week. They immediately showed us the door. I’ve been a patient here since I was born, and I am always so pleased with the care I receive. Dr. Ellis is amazing and always straight forward with me. CHKD feels like family to me, the nurses and other staff do everything to make sure I am comfortable and that I have everything I need before I come back home. I travel from Richmond to Their offices as of the last 10 years, but I used to travel from Halifax VA (that’s a 4 hour drive), and have my appointment. Very much worth the time in my opinion.
