Ruthie and Zoey ***** Ruthie is a fabulous stylist - I took her a photo of the style I wanted and she gave me the exact cut. Zoey is a pro too - she arched my eyebrows! They look just the way I wanted - which I didn't think was possible since I have such a little amount of eyebrow hair.
Chignon is the place to go! Ruthie is awesome! She cut and colored my hair exactly the way I asked. The salon is very cute and the staff is very friendly. Very worth going to if your looking for a new friendly salon with talented hairstylist who care. PROS: Ask for Ruthie!!! CONS:
Zoe is awesome! I've always been worried about having my eyebrows done because I didn't want someone to do a bad job. My friend Leslie found Zoe on Insider Pages and after I saw what a great job she did, I had to try her. I have to say, I'm really impressed! It didn't hurt at all and Zoe is great because she gives advice and genuninely wants to help you achieve eyebrow greatness! I'm definitely going back. She also does make up consultations as she used to work with MAC.

A breath of fresh hair ... This is a great salon. I walked in one day in desperate need of a cut. I was referred to Natalie and she did an amazing job of taming my unruly do. I recently went back for another cut and I also got my hair colored this time. She did an amazing job. Unfortunately, when I left the salon it was already dark outside, so it wasn't until the light of day that I noticed that the color was a bit too dark for me. Review Update After reading this review, the salon contacted Insider Pages in order to give me a refund -- which they promptly sent. This counts as something in my book so I wanted to update the review with this information and give them an extra star. ---Original Review ---- I went in for a blond highlights and was given orange and yellow streaks that began an inch away from my scalp instead! The Best in Pasadena Chignon is one of the best salons in Southern California -hands down. I was genuinely impressed with the services and the reasonable rates. However, the most impressive aspect of this salon is that the staff, management and stylists actually care about their clients -it definitely shows. Zoey Van Jones, the eyebrow and make-up artist, is absolutely amazing! Save the money you would spend on seeing a therapist and go to Chignon instead. Wow, color me impressed I haven't been able to find a good stylist since I moved to Los Angeles, but Chignon is certainly an exception. I had a great experience here, the staff was warm and cordial (which is sometimes not the norm for L.A.) and the hair stylist I received was fantastic. She knew exactly what to do with my hair and she executed with precision. Oneof the best experiences I've ever had at a salon. I felt truly pampered. Amazing Chignon is my favorite hairsalon- not to mention that I have been to a few. They have a fabulous staff who are wonderfully talented and friendly. It is also in a wonderful location,Old Town, the heart of Pasadena.
