RecommendedDr. Kyle Crowson is absolutely amazing and I highly recommend him. He was amazing with my sometimes skittish husky. He listened to all my concerns and seemed so genuine in helping her.
Honestly, I used to love this vet. But after the new owners took over I can’t wait to switch. The male vet constantly pushes new meds and anything to cost you extra money. When I used to be able to call in a med because they knew my dog, yeah that’s gone. Now even though it’s on his record...I have to make an appointment for common normal issues with my dog. I loved Chico Animal Hospital until my cat hadn’t eaten for 3 days over the weekend & when I called the next Monday morning I was given their earliest apt. FIFTEEN day later! I reminded the lady taking the call my cat could not last 15 days of not eating but they didn’t seem to keep a few sick animal slots open. I had to go elsewhere & after a week of not eating she was diagnosed with cancer & had to have her put to sleep. I love Dr Prather! My dog Charlie is doing so much better since I switched to her. She combines holistic approach with traditional. He is acting like a young pup now instead of a little old man.
I love Dr. Prather and the staff at Chico Animal Hospital. I have both cats and dogs that see her of all stages of life. She is patient, thoughtful, doesn't over prescribe or jump to surgery first, and looks for multiple solutions to treat my animals. We have been in for the basics, dental work, tumors, and even heart problems. She has called me after hours with test results so I could sleep easier and even on a weekend. I can't recommend her enough.
