My hair turned out wonderful. – I think everyone knows the difficulty in finding a hairstylist that can follow through in giving you what you ask for. I made an appointment atr Chicago Hair for a color and a haircut, and not only did I receive what I asked for but she suggested a change in my color that I wasn't aware was possible. Great Place for a Hair Cut! – Meredith is one of those great hair stylist every woman hopes to find: she can see what she wants to do with your hair before she ever picks up her scissors. The results, as a woman elsewhere in the salon said when Meredith finished taking my hair from mid-back length to above my chin, is "Fabulous." And the cut she gave me is VERY low maintenance--wash it, dry it part way, shape it a bit with fingers and a brush and it is good to go. Get windblown or mashed under a hat--no problem. The best in town – I've been going to Liz for years and she always gets my color and cut right! My hair is very curly and unruly and she's always very patient with it, making it look reeeeaaallly good.I wish she could do my hair everyday =) Recently (June of 2010) I started seeing Ariel. The service was excellent and the prices were great!
Price Gouging – I was gouged on the price of highlights for my very short hair. Meredith did a nice job on color and cut but then charged full cost for 2 colors, toner, re-application of color (I am not clear that this even occured), etc... Owners were not responsive to my concerns that the cost was excessive. I will not recommend salon.

When extra work or extra supply of color is required, we charge accordingly. If you are concerned about how money you will be spending on a color, we suggest a complimentary consultation in which we can discuss your color as well as give a price quote. Great haircut! – Many thanks to Meridith for a great haircut! Its a comfortable store with easy parking in the back. I wasn't pressured to buy product, but I was given a list of everything they used one me, both of which are really nice.

got color right the first time – After many dismal experiences with other salons, a friend referred me to Chicago Hair. There I found a soothing and professional atmosphere with friendly staff. I was in need of a color touch-up and braced myself for the 'rusting scalp' outcome that every other salon gave me before getting my color right. Consistently great haircuts for curly hair – I have very curly, difficult to work with hair. I have been going to Liz for haircuts for about 4 years. She gives me great haircuts-which include a relaxing scalp massage. What I most appreciate about Liz is that she spends a lot of time listening to what worked and didn't work with the last haircut. Makes even the craziest hair look good – I have absolutely unruly and impossible curly hair, which I had been trying at various lengths over the year. I had it cut short about 7 years ago, and it looked awful, so I decided never to do it again.
