I went in voluntarily because of a text. I was supposed to ge evaluated. He found nothing wrong with me. But kept me there for 3 days against my will. I was told I could leave at anytime. But everytime I asked to leave the doctor reject my release. My wife had to come and demand that I be let out. NEVER SEND YOUR LOVED ONE THERE OR GO THERE YOURSELF. HORRIBLE FACILITY FROM PERSONAL EXPERIENCE.
I never liked this place. This place wasn’t helpful or a free space. IT WAS PUNISHMENT. These staff need to quit being so ruff with the patients here, they gave me attitude and that never helped my problem. And I also don’t like this place because all you get to do all day is sit in the room with hard heavy chairs, drink lots of water, stare into space, go to your room, or listen to music and draw. Updated 11-6-25 I’m in Law Enforcement and I been working with individuals that need help with their mental health. Richard Young every single time rejects us to their facility because in their famous words “we don’t have a bed available” or it doesn’t fit their criteria but ask all the questions to why we are doing an emergency protective custody.
