We had 3 family members with colds and needed Antibiotics. We called ahead to ask if they accept Medica Insurance. They said yes. We went in, gave our Insurance Card to the front desk, they said nothing. Turns out they don't take Elevate Medica which is the version of Medica we have. But they never told us that. So we could have paid nothing at a different urgent care, but now we are stuck with almost $1000 in bills for 5 minutes with a nurse practitioner, for 3 different people. We called ahead to see if they accept Medica. They said yes. After arriving, we gave our insurance card. Nothing was said about not being in network. Turns out we have "Elevate" Medica, which this clinic does not accept BUT NEVER TOLD US. Three of us saw an NP for about 5 minutes each. We later received about $1000.00 in bills for this simple visit to get antibiotics for a cold. I call: “do you accept Aetna?” Receptionist: yes I drive all the way over there… “O we don’t accept Aetna select…that’s out of network. It’ll be out of pocket.” No thanks. Make sure your insurance works here.
Took my son there today, they were very quick at getting us in and did a great job with him! They were all very helpful and nice. Would highly recommend!
