After my 29-year-old husband suffered a spinal cord injury while playing rugby, he was transferred to this facility for rehabilitation. Don’t get me wrong, the therapists, case manager and day shift staff are great, but the nurses, more specifically the night shift nursing staff are extremely poor. A couple weeks ago, I had a procedure of getting my hip replaced at Providence St. Peter hospital in Olympia. I was told the surgery would be quick, and would be able to go home the next day, so I only packed one extra pair of clothing. As I was sedated, the procedure was complete and woke up. Excellent and professional staff have treated my father wonderfully and aided his recovery from a stroke. Physical therapy and medical assessment is top notch. They always maintain patient autonomy/informed consent.
This is the place to be for post hospital recovery. I do believe this is the best rehab in the state of Washington. My grandmother has been there for about 3 weeks following a hospital stay, her first overnight hospital stay in her life at 86 years old and the staff have been incredible. Dr. Perera is one of the most amazing physicians and truly one of a kind, very knowledgeable and dedicated to this practice. We cannot thank him enough for accepting her into his care.
